Accepted Answer

My Agent Plumber is an AI Front Desk built for UK plumbers. It answers your phone as your business, books the job into your calendar during the call, and texts both you and your customer the details within seconds.

Question 2

How does an AI receptionist help a plumber?

Accepted Answer

It answers when you can't: under a sink, on a ladder or driving between jobs. The caller gets a time slot booked there and then, and you get the job by text with the address first, ready for the satnav. Less time on the phone, more time on the tools.

Question 3

Will customers know they are speaking to AI?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It answers in your business name, in a British voice, and says up front that it's an AI assistant. Your customers hear your name, not ours.

Question 4

Can it book appointments for my customers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It books the job straight into your calendar during the call and only offers times that are genuinely free. It does not cancel or move a booking by voice or by text yet: it tells you, and you decide.

Question 5

Can it send text messages to customers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your customer gets a booking confirmation with the time window and address. You get a text for every new job, cancellation and change. If a customer texts back, it is forwarded to your mobile with their name and the job. If they text STOP, they get no more texts and you are told their booking is not cancelled.

Question 6

Is My Agent Plumber designed for emergency plumbers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It is built around emergency call-outs and busy, changing days. If a caller reports a gas smell, it gives the safety advice first: windows open, no switches, no flames, everyone out, ring 0800 111 999.

Question 7

Can it handle every emergency call?

Accepted Answer

No system can promise that, and we won't. When it can't help, it hands the call over to a human rather than guessing. It never quotes a price: you decide that on site.

Question 8

What if the caller gives the wrong postcode?

Accepted Answer

It checks the postcode is real while the caller is still on the line and reads it back letter by letter ("ess double-you five, nine ess cue") so they can confirm it. A real postcode with the wrong street can still get through, so the customer always gets the address in their confirmation text to check.

Question 9

Do I need technical knowledge to use it?

Accepted Answer

No. We set it up with you before you go live: your business name, your hours and your calendar. After that, you just get the texts.

Question 10

Will it work with my existing business phone number?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You simply divert your existing business number to My Agent Plumber, and switch the divert off whenever you like. You're always in control.

Question 11

What is not available yet?

Accepted Answer

Reminder texts, "plumber on the way" texts, after-job follow-ups and WhatsApp are planned, not built. Changing or cancelling a booking by voice or text is also not available yet. We will only list a feature once it is built and tested.

Question 12

How much does My Agent Plumber cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing will be confirmed before customer onboarding. Join the launch list and you will be among the first to hear.

Question 13

When can I sign up?

Accepted Answer

We are preparing for launch now. Join the launch list on this page and we will be in touch as soon as places open.

Question 14

What happens to customer information?

Accepted Answer

Booking details are used to handle the job and nothing else. Texts are service messages about that job, never marketing. Full details are in our privacy policy.
